Former Philadelphia Eagles and current Minnesota Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers has made plenty of headlines this season, thanks to his strong play on the field.

However, for Eagles fans, his latest post on "X" has people wondering what happened this past offseason. Rodgers took to "X" to dispute a claim by Eagles beat writer Ed Kracz about the effort that Howie Roseman put into signing him this past offseason.

"Lol don't believe the media. See yall Sunday"

Rodgers makes sure everyone knows the truth

Kracz reported on Sports Illustrated that the Eagles prioritized signing Rodgers this past offseason and intended to match the Vikings' offer. Kracz also states that it's unclear if Rodgers and his management team ever gave Philadelphia a chance, as the deal with Minnesota was leaked two days before free agency began.

While Kracz's report is credible, it seems he is writing as someone who supports the Eagles, which could hint at a slight bias. Rodgers obviously took to "X" to state his opinion on the manner, which he believes is false.

Regardless of what happened or what didn't happen, the Eagles certainly missed out on bringing Rodgers back. Whether it's his All-Pro level play or the fact that Philadelphia is desperately in need of a CB2, the Eagles are certainly in a position of need in regard to Rodgers' services.

Currently, the Eagles are dealing with an injury to Quinyon Mitchell, whose status remains unknown for Week 7, but he did fully participate in practice, which is a good sign. With Jakorian Bennett, who is on injured reserve right now, along with ineffective play from Adoree' Jackson and Kelee Ringo, the Eagles are in desperate need of some stability in the secondary.

With Rodgers and the Vikings set to take on the Eagles in Week 7, it seems that the former sixth-round pick will have plenty of opportunity to exact his revenge on his former team. The Eagles and Vikings are set to kick off at 1:00 pm EST at U.S. Bank Stadium, with both teams looking to avoid their third loss of the season.
