After losing a third straight game, the Philadelphia Eagles are now in desperation mode to find any momentum before making the postseason.

The Eagles are coming off a disappointing 22-19 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, in which quarterback Jalen Hurts had the worst game of his career with five turnovers. That performance from Hurts has caused chaos in Philadelphia all week, with questions as to whether he should even start against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Hurts talked with reporters about the urgency he and the team feel as they work to find the correct answers to their problems. The star quarterback knows who it all starts with to get things back on track.

“We’ve got to find a way to put it all together. We’ve got to play better team football. And that starts with me. We have to attack with full force. It’s time to go.”

Hurts makes or breaks this Eagles' offense

While there are other people to blame for the problems of the offense, it all starts with Hurts. When Hurts doesn't run the football as much, the running game suffers for it. If he can't be accurate with the football, the offense stalls out.

Sure, a banged-up offensive line, multiple mental mistakes by A.J. Brown each game, and poor play-calling by Kevin Patullo are all part of the blame as well for the offense looking the way it does. If Hurts plays well, though, it's a fact that no matter what happens, the Eagles have a chance to win any game.

This is an offense that is still in the bottom 10 in total offense with 309.4 yards per game. If it helps any, they have at least gotten out of the bottom 10 in rushing offense and passing offense, but still in the bottom 15.

Eagles fans might not be happy with him right now, but only one man can save the team from becoming the laughing stock of the NFL: Jalen Hurts.
