Nobody in the NFL needed a win in Week 15 more than Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who faced criticism for his play over the last month.
Hurts bounced back in a way fans haven't seen since his performance against the Minnesota Vikings earlier in the season. In the Eagles' Week 15 showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders, Hurts only had three incompletions for 175 yards and three touchdowns to zero interceptions, adding 39 rushing yards in the 31-0 shutout win.
When he had a chance to speak with the media, Hurts was asked about handling the kind of pressure he has been under of late. For him, it isn't a big deal, as he has dealt with it his whole career, and he described it as pressure perceived by those who watch.
"I'm not watching. I'm living. ...Doing," Hurts said via The Athletic's Zach Berman.
Hurts is so back everyone
Eagles fans know when Hurts starts getting philosophical in his press conferences, it means he's got his swagger and confidence back. It's a well-deserved feeling after eight turnovers and a 2-3 record in the previous five games before the Raiders match.
With everything seemingly back to normal in Philadelphia, Hurts now has to focus on being consistent with what worked against the Raiders. That means more quarterback-designed runs and plays being run from under center.
The formula is there for Hurts' success, but he has to keep that going. He knows what works and what keeps the offense rolling week in and week out.
Sitting at 9-5, the Eagles are a victory in the final three weeks away from taking the NFC East title for the second straight season. They will have to get it done against the Washington Commanders twice and the Buffalo Bills.

The city of Philadelphia will be looking at Hurts to deliver again, as his two Super Bowl appearances and one Super Bowl win with an MVP show his credibility in getting the job done.
