Some players are just built for the big moments, no matter how much pressure there is. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is a perfect example of that.
During his six-year NFL career, Hurts has played in every single kind of game, from the shutout victories that don't mean anything to leading his team onto the field of the Super Bowl. No matter what kind of game there is, Hurts stays in the zone and always has the same kind of mentality.
During his press conference, Hurts was asked why he plays so well in high-stakes games. For the franchise quarterback, he only needed five words to give a proper response.
"Some things are in you," Hurts said via The Athletic's Zach Berman.
Jalen Hurts is built for these moments in the playoffs
Hurts is set to make his 10th postseason start as he has started at least one playoff game in each of the last four years. He owns a 6-3 overall record in those games, throwing for 1,813 yards and 10 touchdowns to three interceptions. The Eagles' quarterback also has rushed for 381 yards and another 10 scores in those nine games.
When the game counts the most, Hurts is a proven winner. He's won 69.5% of the regular season games he has played in and has taken his team to the Super Bowl twice, with the 2024 title and game MVP under his belt.
Throughout his NFL career, especially this year, Hurts has taken heat for his play, with many experts criticizing his performance. One complaint about him is that he is limited as a passer and in what he can do as a quarterback.
Sure, Hurts may not be the prototypical NFL quarterback everyone wants him to be, but he always finds a way to win games no matter what. Even if he is having a bad game, he will find a way to get his team back in the game to win it.

Hurts may not have a lot of people from the outside at his corner, but the city of Philadelphia knows how great he can be and has seen firsthand some of the things he can do with the football. No one in the City of Brotherly Love has any doubts about Hurts' ability to win football games for the Eagles and has shown he's ready for another crucial playoff run, with all of it starting against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card.
