This offseason's news cycle has pretty much been dominated by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Before free agency, the Eagles were dealing with the drama of finding a new offensive coordinator, near retirements of guys like Vic Fangio, Lane Johnson, and Landon Dickerson, and, of course, the A.J. Brown trade rumors. Lately, the new topic of discussion has been Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and his issues with being coachable, poor body language, changing plays, and calling all four vertical routes at the end of the loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card game.

It has left many wondering why the Eagles seem to be at the center of all the drama in the NFL. There's only one man who would be able to answer that better than anyone else: legendary former Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Jason Kelce shares why there is so much drama with Eagles

ESPN broadcaster Pat McAfee had Kelce on his show, and the question was asked about why there is so much drama with the team. Kelce best explained that it all depends on how the team is doing on the field.

"There's always drama in Philadelphia when the Eagles are not living up to the expectations..

The media attention there is incredible, and it's endless.

You're always the number one story in town, and you have to be mentally strong to play there."

The crazy part is that the Eagles have won nearly 70% of their games since head coach Nick Sirianni took over in 2021. There are different expectations in Philly, though, as the roster is too talented to just get to the playoffs. They have to make a run at the Super Bowl for it all to be okay, as they have done twice in the last four years.

Drama will never disappear from the Eagles until the moment they enter the dark days of the team returning to consistent losses. Let's hope they don't ever go back to that ever again.
