I guess that's not happening?

Philadelphia Eagles fans were heartbroken when former offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland announced that he was leaving the team after 13 years.

Since then, the Eagles replaced him with Chris Kuper, but Lane Johnson made it seem like it wasn't the end for Stoutland with the team, as he recently said Stoutland would still be helping the team in some capacity. While appearing on former Eagles legendary quarterback Nick Foles' "The SZN" podcast, Stoutland responded to Johnson's comments with some confusion.

"I have no idea. I haven't a conversation with anybody about anything like that, so I don't know."

That will certainly disappoint Eagles fans, as Stoutland is a beloved figure in Philadelphia. He has developed some of the best offensive linemen in the last two decades, including Johnson, Jason Peters, Landon Dickerson, Jason Kelce, Cam Jurgens, Brandon Brooks, Evan Mathis, and Jordan Mailata.

There was speculation that Stoutland's last season in Philly was not the smoothest, as he had his run game coordinator title removed. The writing was on the wall that a breakup was on the verge of happening.

It seems Stoutland won't coach in the NFL in 2026 for the time being, as he remains a free agent. Something could still happen where he is brought on as a consultant for the offense to help with the offensive line. That still remains to be seen, though.

Eagles fans hope that Stoutland will return someday, as he is a massive reason the Eagles made it to three Super Bowls and won two of them in the last 10 years, thanks to his coaching of the offensive line. If there is a position coach that is destined for the Hall of Fame, it's no doubt Stoutland.
