Not many Philadelphia Eagles fans thought this day would come, but it has finally arrived: Jeff Stoutland is leaving.
Stoutland took to social media to announce he's leaving the Eagles after 13 years in the NFL.
"Philadelphia, I’ve decided my time coaching with the Eagles has come to an end. When I arrived here in 2013, I did not know what I was signing up for. I quickly learned what this city demands. But more importantly, what it gives back. The past 13 years have been the great privilege of my coaching career. I didn’t just work here, I became one of you. Stout out"
Eagles lose Jeff Stoutland to retirement
There have been rumors that Stoutland may retire from the NFL after a rough final season with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane had recently reported that Stoutland was stripped of his run game coordinator position in the middle of the 2025 season after the run game struggled to get anything going.
New Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion met with the offensive staff this past week and planned to chat with head coach Nick Sirianni about it afterwards. No word on whether this is the Eagles letting Stoutland go or if he is retiring, but the two sides are parting ways.
Stoutland had a great run, coaching some of the best offensive linemen in franchise history, including Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, Evan Mathis, and many more. Before Philly, Stoutland was on Nick Saban's staff at Alabama in 2011 and 2012.
This is the latest coaching change for the Eagles, who are also looking for a new quarterbacks coach, with interviews already scheduled. There has been no official work on Scot Loeffler's role being taken away from him, but all indications are that he is out, too.
