It appears to be full speed ahead on the Philadelphia Eagles and A.J. Brown trade rumors that have been circulating since the offseason began.
Brown requested a trade multiple times last season and had some conflicts with how the Eagles' offense was run. While Eagles fans agreed with most of what Brown said about the offense, the headache of dealing with this drama is something everyone agrees they want to be done with.
Bleacher Report writer Alex Ballentine went through each of the teams in the NFL and named their top three trade targets. There have been many rumored names, such as the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens, but the Las Vegas Raiders is a new one Ballentine suggested.
"A rookie quarterback's success often hinges on how much support they get. With that in mind, the Raiders would be justified in making a strong offer for A.J. Brown if the Eagles are open to dealing him. He would immediately give Mendoza a reliable No. 1 option and enhance opportunities for the younger receivers on the roster."
Would A.J. Brown to Las Vegas Raiders make sense for Eagles?
Brown might be getting all the targets as the clear-cut number one receiver there, but Las Vegas is going through a full rebuild with the franchise. It would not be the greatest spot for him if he wants to win Super Bowls.
The Eagles would actually be okay with a trade to the Raiders because of the potential they could get in a trade. Even if it is just a second-round pick, that pick is almost as good as a first-round selection, so Philly would be able to use that to rebuild the offense and replace Brown in the first or second round.
It would still leave the Eagles with a financial problem with the dead cap they would have to deal with. The hope is that Eagles general manager Howie Roseman can manipulate the salary cap to offset the problem, but over $70 million is a lot to work against.

Some kind of resolution is needed for Brown and the Eagles, with the Raiders actually being the best option for Philly, even if it may not be the best one for Brown himself.
