If anyone understands the success of the Philadelphia Eagles, it's New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh.

After 18 years with the Baltimore Ravens, Harbaugh now joins the Giants as their new head coach and hopes to turn the tide, but they will have to go through the Eagles, who have won the NFC East for two consecutive years. While speaking with Howard Eskin on his show, Harbaugh admitted the Eagles are the team to beat.

“So, you gotta build a team to beat the Eagles. Yeah, you gotta beat the Commanders and you gotta beat the Cowboys, but the Eagles are the champs. So, we have to build a team to beat the Eagles. And everything we do, every practice we have, every film session will be with that in mind.”

Since 2000, the Eagles have won the NFC East 12 times and have maintained a strong hold on it since. They have also made the playoffs 18 times in that span as well.

Harbaugh is all too familiar with the Eagles, as he served as the special teams coordinator under Andy Reid in the 2000s before becoming the Ravens' head coach. Over the years, Harbaugh has watched the Eagles make four Super Bowls and win two since 2000, but he has been to and won just one Super Bowl.

In recent years, the Eagles have not faced the Giants' competition as they did in the first 15 years of the century. Philly has won eight of the last 10 meetings against New York, which dates back to 2021.

Harbaugh hopes to bring in a much more competitive team to New York when they face the Eagles twice in 2026, but even with all the drama that surrounds the Eagles, they are still the class of the NFL East division.
