Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis is having a season to remember, but it just got even better with the latest announcement from the NFL.
Davis was named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week for Week 11 after he helped the Eagles beat the Detroit Lions 16-9 in their last game. He finished the game with one tackle and three pass deflections in the victory.
That announcement just helped Davis make a little franchise history that not even Brandon Graham can say he ever did for the team. Davis is the first player in Eagles history to be named Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week in one season after winning Special Teams Player of the Week back in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams, as he came up with a key field goal block and returned it for a touchdown to seal the win.

Davis is putting together a Pro Bowl caliber season for the Eagles
Davis worked hard in the offseason to get in better shape, losing 26 pounds, and it shows. He's playing more snaps than he ever has in his career, as the Eagles keep him on the field.
In 10 games, Davis has 34 tackles, six pass deflections, four tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, three sacks, one field goal block, and a return for a touchdown. The pass deflections and tackles for loss are both career-highs for Davis with seven games left in the season.
There were a lot of questions entering the season for Davis as the team picked up his fifth-year option on his contract, but any concerns about him evaporated with the 2025 season. Now the bigger question is how much the Eagles will have to pay him to keep him in Philadelphia after his contract expires.

The Eagles still have time to figure that out, but for now, they will enjoy having one of the top interior defensive lineman in the NFL on their team.
