Philadelphia Eagles fans finally know the identity of Superman: it's defensive tackle Jordan Davis.

At least NFL Spin Zone's Adam Patrick believes Davis was one of the heroes around the NFL in Week 3 after his stellar performance and crucial field goal block to beat the Los Angeles Rams 33-26. Patrick believes the Eagles would not have celebrated "Victory Monday" without Davis.

"Just when it seemed like the Los Angeles Rams were going to hand the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the 2025 season on Sunday, Jordan Davis came up with one of the most jaw-dropping plays of the day.

With time winding down in the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup, the Rams had kicker Joshua Karty come out to try a 44-yard field goal. But instead of Los Angeles taking the lead and getting the win, Davis used his 6-foot-6 wingspan to block the attempt and then pick up the football and run it 61 yards the other way to score a game-sealing touchdown.

Philadelphia will suffer its first loss at some point this season, but plays like the one Davis made on Sunday are why they have a chance to win every week they step on the field."

Davis has been a hero more than just once this season

While that field goal block was massive, it could be argued that Davis was even more of a hero in the Dallas Cowboys Week 1 game. Jalen Carter got ejected from the game for spitting, leaving Davis to carry the load on the defensive line, and he got the job done as the Eagles won 24-20.

In three games this season, Davis has racked up 16 tackles, two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, and a career-high three pass deflections. He has currently played in 70% of the Eagles' defensive snaps, shattering his previous best of 45%. A significant reason for this is that Davis lost 26 pounds in the offseason and has become quicker, as well as having longer endurance to stay on the field.

Davis is well on his way to his first Pro Bowl season, as week after week, he has come up clutch for the Eagles. He's pacing to have a career year. Let's hope he doesn't lose the Superman suit anytime soon.
