With the 53-man roster finalized for the Philadelphia Eagles, there are some big questions that need to be answered about it.
The Eagles took some criticism for having four quarterbacks listed on the roster, while also letting some good potential players walk, including Joshua Weru and Uar Bernard. While some concerns are with the players they let go, another position has some fans wondering about the choices.
At cornerback, there really werent any big surprises there. The problem is one guy has continued to struggle year after year and stays on the team that Eagles fans are trying to understand how: Kelee Ringo.

Ringo got ripped apart during the preseason, allowing way too many completions. This has been a common problem with him over the last few years.
In 2025, he was competing for the CB2 job with Adoree' Jackson and had a chance to prove that he can get the job done. He was the polar opposite and struggled mightily with Jackson eventually winning the job.
During his three seasons with the Eagles, Ringo has racked up 73 tackles, five pass deflections, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, one interception, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit in 51 games. He has never missed a game in his NFL career.
His coverage stats, though, are average at best. He has allowed a career completion percentage of 57.8 and a quarterback rating of 95.1.
Last year, Pro Football Focus gave him an overall grade of 55.3, ranking 86th out of 114 cornerbacks in the NFL. Ringo had a coverage grade of 49.2, ranking 104th in the league.
It's so odd to see the Eagles hang on to the dream of Ringo working out for them because it hasn't so far. The only thing he has truly been great at is being a special teams ace.
In reality, Ringo is just not that desireable of a player to trade for. He has been rumored in trades, but nothing has ever matrialized. Ringo isn't the type of player that NFL teams are dying to add to the roster.

It's a nice thought to have Ringo on a team with his 6-foot-2 size being an advantage, but he just hasn't played like the guy the Eagles needed him to be. Even so, the team is hanging on to hope that he can emerge in his fourth and final year on his contract with the team.
