Howie Roseman has made the Eagles one of the most active front offices in football this season, and with a recent injury, the Eagles could be on the market again, looking for some defensive help. With the recent news of Adoree' Jackson out for Week 4, in addition to cornerback Jakorian Bennett now placed on injured reserve, one writer thinks Roseman should give Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot a phone call.

Patrick McAvoy of Sports Illustrated believes that Philadelphia should inquire about Mike Ford Jr. Earlier this week, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the Eagles "might not be done" at cornerback, and with the recent slide of injuries, it does make sense.

What Ford could do to help the Eagles' depth issues at cornerback

Ford could provide the Eagles as a stopgap option for the time being while players like rookie Mac McWilliams continue to develop. Currently a special teams standout in Atlanta, Ford has appeared in 97 games (10 starts) since coming out in 2018 as an undrafted free agent.

Atlanta has yet to see Ford appear on the defensive side of the ball, mainly providing value as a special teams player. While Ford isn't a "world-beater" by any means, he does have the ability to provide quality depth for a defensive back room that may need leadership and experience.

Recently, Philadelphia has signed cornerback Parry Nickerson to the active roster, re-signed Eli Ricks to the practice squad, and signed safety Marcus Epps to the "53" as well. With Bennett and Jackson sidelined, the Eagles now lean on Kelee Ringo and McWilliams to step up across from Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. The Eagles have Ambry Thomas on the practice squad; however, he's coming off an injury-filled 2024 and a less-than-stellar preseason.

With the Eagles slated to take on the 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they may have caught a bit of a "break" in an effort to figure out their situation in the secondary. The Bucs are without future Hall of Famer Mike Evans, in addition to rookie Emeka Egbuka, to step up, while also dealing with an injury himself.
