The Philadelphia Eagles' final Week 4 injury report has some good news and bad news.
Starting with the good news, linebackers Zack Baun and Jihaad Campbell were full participants in practice and will be available to play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Left tackle Lane Johnson was also a full participant and should start.
Even backup quarterback Tanner McKee and backup running back Will Shipley were full participants and have no injury designation. This would be the first time all season McKee would be available and Shipley's first game since missing his previous two with the rib injury.
Now comes the bad news, cornerback Adoree' Jackson will miss the game with his groin injury despite being a limited participant in practice. This will be the first game he has missed all season.
Eagles have a massive gap at cornerback entering the Buccaneers game
All signs point towards Kelee Ringo getting his first start of the season on the outside at cornerback. In fact, this would be his first snaps on defense as he has only played on special teams. Rookie cornerback Mac McWilliams will be the insurance policy for Ringo if things go south.
It's a crushing blow for Jackson, who was bouncing back with back-to-back great games after having a tough go at it in the Dallas Cowboys games. After giving up over 100 yards in Week 1, Jackson has allowed under 50 yards in the last two games against the Chiefs and Rams.
There's going to be a lot of concern for Ringo after being a part of the CB2 position battle in training camp, but losing out on it in the last week. He was relegated to the backups and never fully recovered from it.
Earlier this week, Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio discussed with Ringo that his time will come to step up. That time came sooner than many expected, but it is Ringo's show now in the secondary.
