The pain of losing Jaelan Phillips is still being felt by Philadelphia Eagles fans, as many of them thought he was a lock to come back, but his $120 million contract for four years with the Carolina Panthers made it easy to move on from him.
Philly has shifted their focus to other players to fill in at edge rusher as the Eagles signed former Atlanta Falcons defender Arnold Ebiketie to be in the rotation, but not a clear-cut replacement. It might have to take a draft prospect to get the job done.
FanSided's Ryan Fowler reported that Texas Tech edge rusher Romello Height is coming in for a 30 visit with the Eagles. Height had 38 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, one pass deflection, and one fumble recovery last season with the Red Raiders.
Romello Height looks like a solid Jaelan Phillips replacement for the Eagles
Height has great speed and power coming off the edge, as he was one of the best pass rushers in the nation last year. He has been projected to be either a Day 1 or Day 2 pick in the NFL Draft next month.
The Eagles currently have Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith Jr. as the starters off the edge. While Ebiketie will be a solid edge rusher in the rotation, Philly needs more at the position after losing Joshua Uche and Azeez Ojulari in free agency.
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio loves athletic and speedy edge rushers to pressure the quarterback in his scheme. Height would be perfect for it, but he is more of a pass rusher, so he might not play every down to start his NFL career.

The Eagles need to do something to make sure they can replace Phillips, and Height could be the right guy for the job.
