Like clockwork.

Here are Philadelphia Eagles fans again back at it with another A.J. Brown trade talk conversation that has been going on over the last two years.

It's almost expected that Brown will go to a team like the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, or someone else, but it's all about when. Pro Football Focus writer John Kosko named Brown as the Eagles' most valuable trade asset going into the 2026 NFL Draft.

"The ongoing tension between A.J. Brown and the Eagles makes him a clear trade candidate. Still just 28 years old, Brown remains a highly productive receiver, earning an 83.4 PFF receiving grade in what was considered a down season. Whether due to injuries or early signs of decline, Brown did not reach 20 mph in PFF in-game tracking for the first time in his career. Given the surrounding circumstances, the Eagles may look to move him while his value remains high, as he would still command a significant return in a trade."

A.J. Brown is the most valuable trade asset for the Eagles

Brown is a three-time Pro Bowler who has gone over 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last four years in Philly. Even with the down year he had in 2025 with 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns, he's still considered one of the best receivers in the NFL.

The problem is that no NFL team wants to pay the price for him in a trade when everyone knows his worth. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is asking for a first and second-round pick, but apparently, that is too high for teams.

The Chicago Bears got a second-round pick for wide receiver DJ Moore, and he's never been a Pro Bowl player. How about the Miami Dolphins getting multiple draft picks, including a first-round pick for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle?

If teams are serious about Brown, they should pay up what the Eagles deserve for him before the draft. Otherwise, Roseman has no trouble holding out for either a better deal or keeping Brown on the roster in 2026.
