There's no denying the Philadelphia Eagles have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL. It's all a matter of figuring out whether they can put it all together and improve from 2025.
Philly's defense will be among the NFL's best over the next few years thanks to its young talent. Bleacher Report's power rankings before training camp have the Eagles ranked seventh, with writer Moe Moton focusing more on the offense than anything else.
"The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping for addition by subtraction after they traded star wideout A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots. Perhaps the combination of Hollywood Brown, Dontayvion Wicks and rookie first-rounder Makai Lemon fills a major void in the passing attack.
Most importantly, head coach Nick Sirianni has to get the offensive coordinator hire right this time. The Eagles will start their fourth consecutive season with a new offensive play-caller because their previous coordinators have either left for head-coaching jobs or been dismissed. Sean Mannion will call plays for Philadelphia's offense this year. The Athletic's Zach Berman expects to see play-action designs and quarterback Jalen Hurts under center a lot more in the new system.
It remains to be seen if that's a negative or a positive for the offense, but the Eagles are the most trustworthy team in the NFC East and should be favored to win the division for a third consecutive year."
Can the Eagles' offense answer all the lingering questions about them?
Mannion is the biggest question mark on the team since this is the first time he will be calling plays in his young coaching career, which began in 2024. The scheme makes sense and should work to perfection, but everything else is up to Mannion on how it goes.
Hurts adjusting to the system is going to play another big factor in how this offense does, as he is now on his seventh play-caller in his NFL career. So far, it was a mixed bag at OTAs, with Hurts struggling more and more towards the end of the three weeks.
While there might be questions about the receivers without A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith has more than proven already he's got the capabilities to be WR1. It's a matter of figuring out whether Lemon or Wicks will be WR2 in this offense in 2026 and the future.
One thing Moton did not mention, which should be questioned as well, is the offensive line. Injuries to Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, and Cam Jurgens significantly affected the offense, with Saquon Barkley and the running game struggling. If they can hold up, good things will happen, but if the line suffers more injuries in 2026, that could change the course of the offense's performance.

Eagles fans have a lot of hope that the offense will look very different from years past in a good way. If the same thing happens in 2025, a lot more changes could be coming than what the team endured this offseason.
