The Philadelphia Eagles' star quarterback, Jalen Hurts, has taken a beating in the offseason from the media after reports came out about all kinds of negative things about him.
Hurts has heard it all from him, not being able to read defenses to changing plays whenever he wants in the huddle. His former head coach, Lincoln Riley, appears on Philly sports radio, as he told 97.5 The Fanatic about his conversations with Hurts and a clear warning being sent.
"We have talked a lot in the last several months," Riley said. "He is a hungry, hungry guy right now. he is always motivated. But I feel an extra edge from him right now... This guy wants a lot more, and he is coming for it."
Lincoln Riley hints at big things coming for Jalen Hurts in 2026
Eagles fans know by now that Hurts just uses all the criticism as motivation to make himself better. He knows, and the fan base does too, how good a quarterback he is and doesn't have to justify his status.
Hurts has been selected to three Pro Bowls, appeared in two Super Bowls, won a Super Bowl, and was an MVP of the Super Bowl. He's been about as good as it goes with winning nearly 70% of his starts.
The attacks on Hurts have been odd, since he doesn't draw attention to himself. He keeps to himself and does great work in the community, working with the Special Olympics and writing his own kids' book.

For some who continue to do the right thing on and off the field, Hurts certainly takes a beating from everyone. He's ready to fix that narrative with a solid 2026 season coming for him.
