When Matt Pryor signed with the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason, it was seen as a great move, as it gave them the depth they needed and someone they already knew from the past.
It became apparent early on that this was a reunion that was not worth it, and once he got a chance to show off his skills, it was already the end. Pryor was a free agent after signing a one-year deal with Philly last offseason.
Now he has found his new home in the NFL as the long-time veteran has signed with the Arizona Cardinals on a one-year deal, according to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo. Pryor played in just 12% of the offensive snaps and was mainly on special teams with the Eagles.
Eagles see Matt Pryor join the Arizona Cardinals
It comes as no surprise that the Eagles did not have any interest in bringing back Pryor to the team after one year. The struggles he showed on the field made that decision easy.
The one game everyone remembers in Philly from the 2025 campaign was the Week 3 Los Angeles Rams game, when Lane Johnson got knocked out on the first drive, and Pryor came in to replace him. That ended up being a massive mistake as Pryor struggled at right tackle and would eventually be replaced by Fred Johnson in the third quarter. Once Fred Johnson came in, the Eagles stormed back from behind after being down 26-7 and won the game 33-26.
Pryor started his career with the Eagles in 2018 and played for two seasons before bouncing around the NFL. It seemed as though he was better off then than he was now, as he struggled to live up to the expectations placed on him.

Eagles fans know that the offensive line has to get younger anyways, so Pryor never had much hope in returning.
