The Los Angeles Rams had a gutsy performance at Soldier Field, surviving in overtime against the Chicago Bears in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford finished the game, completing 20 of 42 passes for 258 yards and zero touchdowns and interceptions in the win. After the victory, Stafford spoke with the media, who were happy to get the win in the snow of the Divisional Round after not being able to do it against the Philadelphia Eagles last year.
“Played great threw for a bunch of yards last year [vs. Eagles] in the snow and we lost," Stafford said via Philadelphia sports anchor Jeff Skversky. "That s*** sucked. So, I'm happy to play worse today and going home with a win.“
Eagles fans will remember how they took care of business in 2024
The Eagles and Rams have had some great battles over the last few years, but last year's NFC Divisional Round game was one to remember because of the snow. Philly had snow in the area starting in the third quarter.
That created an iconic moment with Eagles running back Saquon Barkley bolting for a 78-yard touchdown to put them up 28-15 in the fourth quarter. While Stafford gave Philly a scare with 324 yards and two touchdowns, the Eagles held on for the 28-22 win in their only playoff game during the Super Bowl, which was won by one possession.

It was a game Eagles fans won't forget, with snow falling at Lincoln Financial Field and the first real hope that the team could win a second Super Bowl title. There won't be too many Eagles fans upset to see the Rams pick up a win against the Bears after what Chicago did to them this season on Black Friday, so Stafford and his team can have this moment....until they play the Eagles again next time.
