There is a belief that the Philadelphia Eagles will be very heavy on offense in the 2026 NFL Draft as they prepare for veterans to depart and save money for their younger defensive stars.
Most of those positions of focus in mock drafts have been on offensive tackle, wide receiver, and tight end. ESPN NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. shared his new two-round mock draft, where he had the Eagles taking Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller with the 23rd overall pick.
"The Eagles don't typically let future needs become current problems. General manager Howie Roseman is tactful in how he keeps the roster stocked with depth and future replacements. The question here, though, is whether Roseman will add the next in line behind receiver A.J. Brown (trade candidate) or offensive tackle Lane Johnson (turning 36). The value is better for the latter in this projection, and Miller is a perfect fit after playing over 3,500 snaps at right tackle in college."
Eagles goes offense in the first and second round of Mel Kiper Jr.'s mock draft
Miller would be a clear successor to Johnson when he retires between the next year or two, and someone who has been predicted multiple times to land with the Eagles. Wide receiver isn't a big need anymore, so the Eagles can wait on that and instead work on building depth on the offensive line, with the losses of Brett Toth and Matt Pryor hurting the bench.
Kiper would next go tight end in the second round for the Eagles as they take Georgia's Oscar Delp with the 54th overall pick.
"Dallas Goedert is back for one more year, but the Eagles need more options at tight end, not to mention a succession plan for the 31-year-old if he doesn't return in 2027. Delp's stats aren't going to wow you (20 catches for 261 yards and one TD in 2025), but he's effective with the ball in his hands and has some potential to his game. And the Eagles love the Georgia pipeline."
Most Eagles fans would probably prefer Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers, but he was selected by the Ravens earlier in the second round of Kiper's mock draft. Delp would be a good combination of catching and blocking Philly needs in new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's system, anyway, so it works out for them.

This would be a pretty good start to the NFL Draft for the Eagles, as the offense would have the future set at two positions.
