The public may have their own feelings about Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, but his players and coaches have never said anything negative about him.
Sirianni has truly been a players' coach and someone who has the love and respect, but the problem is he never gets it from other NFL fans and sometimes even other Eagles, to the point that now he is on the hot seat entering 2026. What had bugged people about Sirianni was that he could come off cocky or talk too much, and he would sometimes yell at his own fans.
Everyone can feel however they want to about him, but it's not the same for his players. Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean shared with the AP's Rob Maaddi about what kind of coach Sirianni is.
"I would say the ultimate player's coach. Ultimate player's coach. For me, I feel like he's going to ride with his guys, but he got his own way of doing things and I feel like it's great. He understands what it takes to win and understands what it take to get better and continue to win. That's all it really is as far as being motivate and everything. He says his piece, he's a big basketball guy so he has a lot of basketball knowledge and everything like that, but he definitely understands what it takes to win, and he pushes for that and holds everybody to that standard."
Nick Sirianni is the ultimate winner
During his five years as the Eagles' head coach, Sirianni went 59-26 in the regular season, winning 69.4% of his games. He's also gone 6-4 in the postseason, including two Super Bowl appearances and one title. Sirianni has never posted a losing season or missed the playoffs as the Eagles' head coach.
The media and fans like to push the narrative that Sirianni doesn't do anything for the team and lets everyone do the job for him. Sirianni has won the second-most games in NFL history as a head coach in his first five years, making him the first to do so, not to mention the first to do so with a team that won at least 10 games.
In reality, Sirianni will never get the respect he deserves because people don't like him. It's why Belichick did not get voted into the Hall of Fame, and it's why Sirianni will never win any Coach of the Year awards.

This is almost toeing the line between sad and pathetic that no one wants to give Sirainni his respect. It's time for people to put their personal feelings aside and give Sirianni his flowers because he has more than earned it, and Dean's comments speak loudly about his coach.
