Well, you didn't think it would be ignored when someone as polarizing as A.J. Brown says the Philadelphia Eagles' problem is 'passing', did you? This was an interesting week leading up to the game vs. the Carolina Panthers. The fallout has been discussed. Philly hasn't lost with A.J. in the lineup. Every coin has two sides though.
It's clear that 11 is frustrated. We wonder if Next Gen Stats has the data on whether anyone has ever posted on X and deleted posts with greater frequency.
Take what we saw not even a week ago. An Eagles fan reached out via social media and stated he needed to see the 'demon' in A.J. like we had seen in the past. While we hate the phrasing (Demon? Really?), we get where the guy was coming from. Long story short, A.J. quoted that post and added a line, stating there was 'only so much' he could do.
Yes, that post was deleted, but more content has surfaced, and no one seems to be taking their tweets down. Are they still called tweets?
We all know what A.J. said. The questions are about why did he say it? Some say Jalen Hurts has gone from being a low-risk passer to become a no-risk passer.
An All-22 angle of the Eagles vs. Panthers game offers some explanation as to why A.J. Brown might be frustrated.
Some say Jalen Hurts is a legitimate MVP candidate. He won't win, but he should be a candidate. We'd agree. Some say the stats aren't indicative of how much he has been struggling.
Our questions were about slow starts. How on Planet Earth could it have been possible that an offense that knows this would design their first pass with Jahan Dotson as its primary receiver?
Unless the ball shouldn't have gone in Jahan Dotson's direction.
Two things have been consistent with Jalen Hurts. In an offense that sometimes relies on timing, he doesn't always trust what he is seeing. And, there are times when he misses the open throws entirely.
Check this one out, and tell us what you see. A.J. breaks open for a long-gainer or potential touchdown, and the ball simply isn't thrown in his direction.
Jalen Hurts isn't a broken quarterback. The Philadelphia Eagles certainly aren't 11-2 without him, but there are areas for growth. Saquon Barkley's presence has helped, but QB1 has to nail these minor details. To his credit, he has done so frequently.
Watch this toss on third down.
A.J. is this team's number-one receiver, but he wants to be involved in the team's success. We totally understand that.
He has played the good soldier and has tempered his frustration because the Eagles keep winning. After all, if the team wins, what is there to complain about, right?
This is just one piece of evidence, but trust us. This isn't the only evidence of its kind. Jalen could have been shaken by the early tunrovers. We aren't sure, but he either isn't seeing the windows or he isn't throwing the ball fast enough when he is seeing them.
