The Philadelphia Eagles' defense of their Super Bowl title went as poorly as one could have hoped, as their playoff run ended in the Wild Card round by losing at home to the San Francisco 49ers.
Even as this franchise licks its wounds, Howie Roseman and the front office can take solace in the fact that they have a ton of picks in the 2026 NFL Draft that can be used to plug up their biggest holes.
The Eagles need to identify these five weak points as areas of need that must be plugged with young talent, as doing so could ensure that this team is right back in the mix as a championship contender once again in the crowded NFC.
5 biggest Eagles NFL Draft needs after early playoff exit
5. Interior Offensive Line
Replacing Mekhi Becton with Tyler Steen did not go as well as everyone expected, and Landon Dickerson's health has become a major concern for this team. A Day 3 pick to be used on extra depth would be one way to mitigate these struggles and avoid another regression.
4. Wide Receiver
Even if they keep AJ Brown in the offseason, Philly needs to bring in a No. 3 wide receiver after Jahan Dotson failed to step into that role. This class is very deep at receiver, especially on Day 2. Without Brown, this may jump to the very top of their hypothetical needs list.
3. Cornerback
Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean are two of the best in the business in their respective roles, but the revolving door that was Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson on the other side left a ton to be desired. Corner is such a need that it should surprise no one if they use a first-round pick on another DB.
2. Tight End
Dallas Goedert had a tremendous 2025 season, but he doesn't have many years left in Philadelphia, and a replacement is needed. This class is very weak at tight end, but someone like Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq or Ohio State's Max Klare could give this front office some peace of mind.

1. Pass Rusher
The injured and underwhelming pass rush degraded to the point that the Eagles needed to pull Brandon Graham out of retirement. Philly needs to spend some of its available resources on fixing this defensive line, as it seems they've never figured out how to adequately replace Josh Sweat.
