Philadelphia Eagles fans now know what the 2026 schedule looks like, and while it was considered one of the easiest in the NFL before the release, it doesn't look that way now.
The majority of the schedule is brutal, especially the final four games of the season, leaving Eagles fans knowing that they must win early in the year to set themselves up. There's a three-week stretch when they have to play all NFC East teams, and another stretch where they play the Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans within a week of each other late in the season.
Philly can be happy to know that there are a few games on the schedule that seem favorable to them, but in reality, they are going to be just as tough as the others. Which four games are considered trap games for ones the Eagles should win?
4 trap games that could derail the Eagles' 2026 season
Week 2 at Tennessee Titans
This is an early-season matchup for the Eagles, and on paper, it should be a blowout, but the Titans are a much-improved team. A brand-new coaching staff is in place as Philly faces new head coach Robert Saleh, who was the defensive coordinator who knocked the Eagles out of the playoffs. It's not going to be as easy as some fans believe.
Week 6 vs. Carolina Panthers
Carolina might have had a losing record last year and still made the playoffs, but this roster is improved. The Eagles know this better than anyone because the Panthers stole edge rusher Jaelan Phillips away from them in free agency. This game is right after the London game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, so fatigue might kick in from recovery of that trip.
Week 13 at Arizona Cardinals
There's something about playing the Cardinals that somehow makes it tough for the Eagles, despite the Eagles always being the better team on paper. Arizona has beaten Philly twice in the last three matchups, including a 35-31 win in 2023, which many believe marked the end of the Eagles' season. This Cardinals team may be going through a bit of a transition, but new head coach Mike LaFleur knows something about putting up points on offense.

Week 14 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni goes up against the team he coached for before Philly hired him, and it's not going to be easy. The last time Sirianni coached against the Colts, it was an ugly 17-16 win on the road for the Eagles. Now he will face off against his first-hired offensive coordinator, Shane Steichen, for the first time, and since the two know each other, don't count out the Colts pulling off an upset.
