If there is a trade to be made this offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles will be linked to it because general manager Howie Roseman can execute any trade at any time.
One of the interesting aspects of the offseason for Philly is whether they will bring back edge rusher Jaelan Phillips. If Roseman passes on Phillips, the Eagles could consider another option that might be better.
NFL insider Mike Garafolo appeared on The Anthony Gargano Show, where the long-time reporter was asked about the Eagles' chances of being able to land Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby in a trade. Garafolo certainly isn't counting out Philly to make a deal with the team from Sin City.
“Big time.. I would put the Eagles in the top three, five, whatever [teams] for Maxx Crosby if and when this thing opens up — and I do believe it's going to open up.”
Eagles could land Maxx Crosby in a trade
Philly could hit a massive home run with trading for Crosby, one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. Crosby has racked up 439 tackles, 164 quarterback hits, 133 tackles for loss, 69.5 sacks, 29 pass deflections, 11 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and one interception in 110 games.
The problem with the Eagles trying to trade for the five-time Pro Bowler is that it will be a steep price to pay. Las Vegas is most likely going to ask for at least two first-round picks, if not more, to acquire him.
Since the Eagles usually pick in the 20s in the NFL Draft, it wouldn't be the end of the world to lose those picks. Part of the problem is that Crosby could be a big hit on Philly's salary cap, which might prompt the team to make some moves to be able to pay him.

Eagles fans would love to have Crosby on their defense, but the real question is whether he is worth mortgaging the future for him.
