In less than a week from now, the Philadelphia Eagles fans can hopefully be freed of all the A.J. Brown trade talk.
The slow offseason news cycle has continued to push the narrative of the trade that everyone knows will happen and must happen. Bleacher Report writer Alex Kay included the Eagles trading Brown on his list of five moves that have to happen with OTAs starting up this week for Philly.
"Now that Brown has skipped out on OTAs, the Eagles shouldn't hesitate to finalize a trade that sends the disgruntled 28-year-old out in exchange for whatever early-round draft capital they can get in return. With June 1 nearly here—the date when it becomes fiscally responsible to part with Brown—it would be a surprise if the wideout remains on the roster much longer."
Eagles fans already know that A.J. Brown has to be traded from the team
Even just this part of the drama, with everyone talking about it, makes it so the Eagles must get this trade done. NFL fans shouldn't worry, though, because it will happen.
Everyone believes that the New England Patriots are the most likely landing spot for Brown, but it will be about what kind of trade compensation the Eagles can get for Brown. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has been seeking at least a first-round pick and could also try to land either another mid-round draft pick or a player.
Many other teams have been attached to trade rumors, like the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, and Jacksonville Jaguars. It appears as though they are all long shots to land Brown, and the Patriots are the overwhelming favorites.

The Eagles added four wide receivers in free agency, through trades, and in the draft in preparation for life without Brown, so at this point, a deal has to get done. Otherwise, things will get very awkward in Philly.
