Every Philadelphia Eagles fan is looking forward to seeing what the team looks like with their offense after all the changes that were made.

The Eagles are rolling with a first-time play-caller in Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator, and they no longer have A.J. Brown to throw it to after trading him to the New England Patriots. ESPN NFL writer Matt Bowen shared what fans can expect from the offense in 2026, as they will run more 12-personnel with one running back, two tight ends, and two wide receivers.

"Under new coordinator Sean Mannion, I expect the Eagles to show more 12 personnel in 2026 (264 snaps last season). The team can pair veteran tight end Dallas Goedert and rookie Eli Stowers, a seam stretcher who can pick up extra yards after the catch. Plus, in Mannion's system, look for quarterback Jalen Hurts to see more under-center reps, which leads to timing, boot and play-action concepts out of 12 personnel. Keep an eye on the Saints here, too."

Eagles will be running a lot more 12 personnel in 2026 with Sean Mannion

This scheme would work well for the Eagles as it gives them a chance to showcase their tight ends much more. Goedert has proven himself to be a worthy pass catcher, but Stowers still has a lot to prove, as he had a quiet OTAs without any big moments.

12 personnel should also help with the running game and get Saquon Barkley rolling earlier on in games. Adding the two tight ends to block and being under center, the Eagles can get back to running more stretch plays with Barkley.

Hurts is going to thrive in this new system better as he as proven to be more accurate with his passes under center. This is also giving him an opportunity to run more RPOs from the scheme as well to utilize his athleticism.

The wide receivers will benefit as well as it will most likely be DeVonta Smith and Dontatyvion Wicks on the outside in 12 personnel. When they are out of the formation, Makai Lemon should be in the slot.

Philly's offense has a lot of focus on them as they have to improve from being in the bottom 15 last season. The hope is Mannion's scheme will change the fortune of the offense and help them put up better numbers.
