There are still about three months until the 2026 NFL regular season starts, and the Philadelphia Eagles have time to make some moves.

Some think the Eagles could add a safety and an edge rusher to add depth, but another move is seen as the main one they still have to make. Bleacher Report writer Kristopher Knox shared one move each NFL team can still make in the 2026 offseason, with the Eagles needing to finally pull the band-aid off and trade wide receiver A.J. Brown.

"It feels like A.J. Brown's tenure in Philadelphia has run its course, especially after the Eagles used a first-round pick on wideout Makai Lemon. However, Howie Roseman still has to make a trade official, and that should happen early next month. Trading Brown before June 1 would cost Philly $20.1 million in additional 2026 cap space, while trading him after that date would save $7 million."

A.J. Brown trade from the Eagles has to happen (and it will happen)

Yes, this story has certainly been beaten to a pulp, and every Eagles fan is over it. Getting this trade done as quickly as possible would be something everyone would appreciate, so fans can move on from it.

The Eagles have plenty to be excited about: the offense is still here, Lemon is Brown's replacement, and there's the future of the franchise. DeVonta Smith will finally have his chance to be the WR1 that has been five years in the making. Even with others like Dontayvion Wicks and Hollywood Brown behind those two, they still have plenty of juice at the position.

Every Eagles fan has a countdown clock going for June 1 as they look forward to moving on to the next chapter of the franchise's history post-A.J. Brown.
