Week 3's Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams game was nothing short of playing with everyone's emotions.

Eagles fans went through it all, from sarcastically cheering a completion in the third quarter to jumping out of their seats with Jordan Davis' game-winning field goal block to end the game. No one went through the roller coaster of emotions this season quite like Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, though, as he finally got his wish to get the ball.

After being held with no catches in the first half for the second time of his career (the first coming in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys), Brown exploded for six receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown in the incredible 33-26 win over the Rams. It was a combination of weeks of struggling to get the ball that finally came together in one beautiful game.

In the locker room, The Athletic's Zach Berman shared that Brown was about to take a shower after the game when he heard his head coach, Nick Sirianni, call his name out. The two shared a moment that truly showed the bond between them that has been there since 2022.

Sirianni continued his campaign of praising Brown

Nothing changed during Sirianni's post-game conference, as he has been defending his receiver over the last two weeks. This time around felt different, though, as his response about Brown felt more emotional and personal than in previous weeks.

"I think one thing is that you don't have to live your life as a football team, the way people think you should respond," Sirianni said via Berman. "I watched A.J. Brown handle all your questions as a great teammate and with grace.

"Obviously, he wants the football. Obviously, he needs to get the football. To do the things that we want to do, he's got to have the season that he's had the last couple years, the last three years when he has been second-team All-Pro and went over a thousand yards every time. That's the nature of the position."

"I'm just really proud of how he's handled a slow start as far as stat-wise, but he's doing the right things without it in his hands to help us find ways to win football games, and today we needed it with the ball in his hands.

"I just really think he handled it the way we want to handle things as a football team. It's not about individuals, it's all over the place, right? 'Well, you're not getting yours.' Well, we're a team. We find ways to win. 'Well, aren't you frustrated?' Yeah, obviously he wants the ball, but going back to work every single day knowing that it's going to happen, and what a great example to kids all over the place."

A poetic moment for a team that won was more chaotic than an Edgar Allen Poe poem. Still, despite the ugly start to the game, the Eagles rallied in a perfect way that hasn't been seen since The Miracle at the New Meadowlands.

The Eagles squeaked by with a massive win, moving them to 3-0 on the season. One of the biggest reasons for that was Brown's performance. Watch for the Eagles to continue to stick with the game plan of getting him more involved in the passing game.
