Philadelphia Eagles fans hoped that, with a whole weekend to evaluate their ugly 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears, it would change head coach Nick Sirianni's mind about not having offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo as the play caller anymore. It did have him thinking.
During Sirianni's press conference off the mini bye, he once again addressed some of the issues with the offense. He shared that he would indeed be considering making changes.
“We’re evaluating everything. We’ll think about some different things that we want to do. All over the place. Scheme, everything.”
Sirianni was asked about Patullo and whether he would still be the play-caller. Sorry, Eagles fans, Patullo is still keeping his job with no change in the near future, but recognizes that something has to change.
“We have to change some things. We can’t keep doing the same things over and over and over again and expect different results. We are looking for ways to help the guys more and execute better. What necessarily worked for us in the past, doesn’t mean it will necessarily work in the future. We looked at ourselves first. We are going to ask our players to look at themselves. None of us are doing a good enough job right now.”

No budging from Sirianni at play caller for Eagles
The Eagles are coming off one of their worst offensive performances of the season, as they only had 317 total yards of offense and two turnovers from quarterback Jalen Hurts. Philly had only 62 yards for the first two and a half quarters up to the point of Hurts' third quarter interception.
They are currently ranked 24th in the NFL in total offense with 304.8 yards per game. Philly is also 23rd in passing with 196.3 yards per game and 22nd in rushing with 108.5 yards per game.
The offense has not been great all season, but the last four games have been more noticeable in the unit's regression. They are averaging just 15.5 points per game in the previous four contests.
Multiple fingers are being pointed in all kinds of directions. Patullo is getting hit with predictable play calling, Sirianni for not making the right decisions on and off the field, and Hurts for regressing as a passer.

It's going to be another long week for Eagles fans as they pray that something gets better soon on offense.
