It's been a good last week for Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Kelee Ringo as he's got the support of the franchise.

Ringo took over as the starting CB2 in place of Adoree' Jackson, who missed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game with a groin injury. During the Eagles' 31-25 win over the Buccaneers, Ringo finished with four tackles and one pass deflection.

While there were plenty of moments where Ringo struggled with making the tackle, his defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio, was complimentary of his performance. Even Ringo's head coach, Nick Sirianni, echoed those same sentiments on Friday when speaking to the media.

"I think he had a good week," Sirianni said via Philly Sports Network's Cory Nidoh. "Kelee is doing a really good job getting himself ready to play in any mode. What I always admire about Kelee is that last week it was a different mode that he was preparing for."

"Kelee is just a really good pro and puts himself in position by the way he works to be ready for whatever role he’s called upon."

What are the chances of Ringo holding on to the CB2 job?

The looming question now is whether Ringo will be able to hold his new starting job from Jackson. Philly's final injury report has Jackson ready to play on Sunday as he practiced all week.

While the Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys was about as ugly as it can get for Jackson, he was great in the next two matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams. He allowed under 50 yards combined in those matchups.

Philadelphia wants it to work with Ringo so badly since he is 6-foot-2 and younger than Jackson. Ringo didn't do enough in training camp to convince them he was ready. Fangio told Ringo to stay prepared, as his time would come. Last week was a great example of Ringo making the most of his opportunity.

Sunday will ultimately determine who will start at CB2, but Ringo proved that he can handle the job if he needs to.
