Everyone can hate him, but we don't.

Not many people outside of Philly like Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, and honestly, that's okay.

Sirianni has been a polarizing figure since taking the Eagles' head coach job in 2021, as he has posted the third-most wins for a coach in their first five years in NFL history, while gaining more haters than victories. When speaking with The Athletic's Michael Silver, Sirianni was honest about the possibility of changing his personality.

"F*** that,” Sirianni said. “You’ve got to be you. Especially in leadership roles. Because otherwise people are going to see through it. I’m (at work) way more than I’m at home. I can’t possibly carry a façade of being somebody else for going on six years of a job. I’d (have to) be the best actor in the world. I’d be away better actor than Joey Tribbiani on ‘Friends.’”

Nick Sirianni is keeping it real with who he is as a person

The kind of personality that Sirianni has fits what Philly likes from their sports figures. He is loud and unapologetic about who he is as a person.

Sure, he can sometimes be frustrating as a coach with his decision-making on and off the field. He's struggled to hire the right offensive coordinator and has to go back and forth on coaches time and time again.

Ultimately, though, Sirianni is a winner, having won over 69% of the games he's coached and won a Super Bowl in one of his two appearances. Not many coaches are having the kind of run that Sirianni has had in that same timeframe.

Everyone wants to give Eagles general manager Howie Roseman all the credit whenever they win, but never Sirianni. Too often, the argument is that Sirianni does nothing, and because they struggled in 2025, he is to blame and should be on the hot seat.

If people want to be ignorant like that, so be it. Sirianni has earned the right to have the kind of personality he has because all he does is win games for the Eagles.
