The Philadelphia Eagles filled one big need in the 2026 NFL Draft with the wide receiver room adding USC's Makai Lemon to the picture, as a trade was used to get that done.
Philly had to give the 23rd overall pick and two fourth-round picks to the Dallas Cowboys to make it happen with Lemon. That leaves the Eagles with five selections left in 2026 and a chance they could stay aggressive for another trade.
One player the Eagles fan base was hoping to be able to get is Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, but NFL insider Jordan Schultz hinted to keep an eye out for the former MAC defensive back as a name to watch early in the second round. That means Eagles general manager Howie Roseman might have to work his magic again and trade up in the second round to get McNeil-Warren.
Eagles' trade proposal they should offer for Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Going into the second round, the Eagles hold the 54th overall pick, so if they wanted to trade up, it would be quite the fall for the team they are trading with. That means they might have to give up a bit more to make it happen. If the Eagles were smart, this is the trade they should make to move up:
Eagles receive 34th overall pick
Cardinals receive 54th overall pick, 68th overall pick, and a 2027 fifth-round pick
This feels like a fair trade for the Eagles, as they move their next two top picks to the Cardinals so they can get into the top five of the second round and not worry about most teams going after McNeil-Warren. Reports are already coming in that the Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and Buffalo Bills have been receiving calls about moving up in the second round to the top three.
Philly needs safety help as Marcus Epps and Michael Carter II are competing for one of the starting jobs at the position. Andrew Mukuba is expected to have the other starting positions.

The Eagles have had great experiences with Toledo defensive backs, as Quinyon Mitchell became an All-Pro in just his second season last year. Philly would love to repeat it with McNeil-Warren, but might have to pay a price to get it done.
