Stop us if you've heard any of this before. Then again, don't. We're certain you have. Why would anyone ever question whether or not the Philadelphia Eagles should steer clear of hiring good assistant coaches because you're afraid they'll be asked to interview for head-coaching vacancies at season's end?

That means they can coach folks!

The NFL is a nomadic profession. Guys travel for new job opportunities. That applies to players, coaches, and front-office personnel.

But, again... The most talented assistant coaches are going to be the guys that are asked to interview for job openings. That's the risk teams take. If you want to win (and, from what we understand, every team does), you have to hire the best but keep some guys on speed dial if your staff is poached.

Don't let the attention being paid to Kellen Moore frighten you. He's locked in for the Eagles vs. Packers game on Sunday.

The cat's out of the bag. Kellen Moore is still a good coach. Who would have thought? Rumors of his demise have been exaggerated.

Despite how things ended for him in Dallas with the Cowboys and in Los Angeles as Chargers offensive coordinator, teams are still keeping his name on their list of candidates for their head-coaching vacancies.

The New Orleans Saints have asked to be granted an interview. The Jacksonville jaguars have also expressed interest. Don't worry about a lack of focus fans. Kellen's thoughts are on the Green Bay Packers and Philly's coming Wild Card Round Game this Sunday.

Trust us. We get your concern. Some remember that Jonathan Gannon thing after the Super Bowl and how difficult it was to replace Shane Steichen. We realize some of the wounds from last season still need time to heal.

This is not that though. Everyone calm down. No one is putting their career goals above the team.

If we haven't learned anything else from the decision to rest Saquon Barkley instead of allowing him the opportunity to break Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record, it was this. Philly has one goal in mind right now, winning the Super Bowl, and that goal extends from the top and trickles down through the coaching staff and players.

Kellen Moore has his eyes on the prize. Trust us on that one.
