Nothing would be better for Eagles fans than to see new mock draft come true

This would be great.

NFL Draft experts are adding the final touches to their mock drafts as everyone tries to figure out what the Philadelphia Eagles will do.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has plenty of needs to address, including offensive line, wide receiver, tight end, safety, and edge rusher. FOX Sports reporter Ralph Vacchiano had his own seven-round Eagles mock draft, in which he has Philly starting with Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor.

"The Eagles’ offensive line wasn’t the force last season that it had once been. Right tackle Lane Johnson will be 36 and has been battling injuries. Left guard Landon Dickerson is coming off an injury-plagued year. And center Cam Jurgens and right guard Tyler Steen are hardly irreplaceable. They make up a line approaching a very critical juncture that could use some reinforcements. And nobody knows better than Roseman that the line is a big part of what has made the Eagles a perennial contender. The 6-6, 352-pound Proctor would fit right in, maybe as a guard for now and a tackle when Johnson finally retires. He is huge and strong and explosive as a blocker, and could be an All-Pro someday if he can refine his technique. The only question is whether he’ll last this long, where he’d likely be the fifth offensive lineman selected. If he does, he could be the piece the Eagles need to keep their line rolling for years."

Proctor is a monster who would be a great future right tackle for the Eagles and can develop behind Johnson. If he falls to 23, the Eagles are not going to be able to pass on that pick.

Here is how the rest of Vacchiano's mock draft goes:

  • Round 2, Pick 54 - Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF
  • Round 3, Pick 68 - Jalon Kilgore, S, South Carolina
  • Round 3, Pick 98 - Justin Joly, TE, NC State
  • Round 4, Pick 114 - Joshua Josephs, EDGE, Tennessee
  • Round 4, Pick 137 - Anez Cooper, G, Miami (FL)
  • Round 5, Pick 178 - Cole Payton, QB, North Dakota State
  • Round 6, Pick 197 - Josh Cameron, WR, Baylor

Lawrence has reportedly already met with the Eagles, and many mock drafts have Philly taking him in the first and second rounds. There's a feeling that this is a perfect fit for Lawrence and the Eagles, with his 4.52-second 40 time being tough to pass up on.

Kilgore and Joly both could end up being starters either in 2026 or at least take their places in the starting lineup in 2027. There's a chance Kilgore could beat out Marcus Epps for the starting safety job, but Joly would back up Dallas Goedert for at least one year.

The interesting part about this mock draft is the Eagles not taking a receiver until the sixth round. That would be a bit of a surprise, but the Dontayvion Wicks trade certainly makes it easier on the Eagles to pass up on a receiver early in the draft.

Most of the picks make perfect sense for the Eagles, so the fan base wouldn't mind getting this haul.
