The NFL's top teams were on display during Championship weekend, and ultimately it was the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs who came out on top. The two teams will now meet in Super Bowl LIX, just two years after the Chiefs bested the Eagles, 38-35, in Super Bowl LVII.
Jalen Hurts was PFF's highest-graded player from NFL Championship weekend
Out of all of the players who took the field over the weekend, oft-criticized Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts was the single highest-graded player, according to Pro Football Focus' grading system. Hurts finished the NFC Championship with a PFF grade of 91.4.
Hurts threw for 246 yards and a touchdown against the Commanders in the NFC title game. He also added three rushing touchdowns and didn't turn the ball over a single time, which has become a trend. He was calm, cool and collected all evening long, and he made Washington's defense pay time and again.

With the win over Washington, Hurts made some major Eagles franchise history. It was Hurts' fifth playoff victory as the starting quarterback of the Eagles, which passes Philadelphia folk hero Nick Foles for the second-most in franchise history. Now, only Donovan McNabb (9) has more.
Hurts also became the first quarterback in franchise history to lead the Eagles to multiple Super Bowel berths. McNabb only did it once. Foles only did it once. Ron Jaworski only did it once. Scramblin' Randall Cunningham never made it to the Big Game with the Eagles. Hurts is in a class of his own.
After hearing pundits (and some fans) consistently question his ability, it had to feel good for Hurts to deliver such a resoundingly positive performance on such a big stage. Hurts has a knack for playing his best when the lights are the brightest and that skill was on full display during the NFC Championship. A man of few words, Hurts simply let his play do his talking for him.
If Philadelphia's franchise quarterback can play as well as he did against Washington in the upcoming Super Bowl against Kansas City, (and remember, he played exceedingly well when the two teams met in Super Bowl LVII), the Eagles will have an excellent opportunity to claim the second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.
