Training camp is nearing its start for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the fan base is starting to get excited to see what is going to happen.
After all the offseason chatter about the roster and changes made on offense, the Eagles will finally be able to start putting all the pieces together. From new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion to the plethora of weapons at wide receiver, Eagles fans will see how they come together as a team to get the job done.
There are so many questions that enter training camp, but which ones are the biggest? Here is a look at some of the biggest questions entering training camp at every position group.
One burning question at every position during Eagles training camp
QB - Can Jalen Hurts adjust to Sean Mannion's offense?
It's the one that everyone has and arguably the biggest of all of training camp. Hurts struggled in OTAs in Mannion's offense early on with the new wide receivers. The hope is that he can make the necessary adjustments after the short break and get rolling early in camp.
RB - Who is the next man up behind Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby?
Barkley and Bigsby are a lock for the top two guys, but there are questions about whether Will Shipley will be RB3. Shipley is going up against Dameon Pierce and Elijah Mitchell for the third-string job. It may take a good performance on special teams to get it done, but Shipley needs a big training camp to prove himself.
WR - Who is truly WR2 on the Eagles?
DeVonta Smith is ready to roll as the new WR1, but who is next in line? Dontayvion Wicks is physically taking A.J. Brown's spot after he was traded, but rookie Makai Lemon was drafted in the first round in the hopes that he can take that spot either this year or soon after. All the new receivers need time to develop with Hurts, but someone has to step up.
TE - Can Eli Stowers stand out in training camp?
There was a lot of talk about Stowers not really being a factor at OTAs at all. Dallas Goedert will start, but the Eagles need Stowers to play well so they can use two-tight end sets in the upcoming season. Philly needs their young rookie second-round pick to show why the team selected him as Goedert's future replacement.
OL - Which backups will step up as future starters?
There's no more Jeff Stoutland, so the offensive line has more questions than ever, especially on the bench. The Eagles are hoping their young rookies, Markel Bell and Micah Morris, can step up and play well. Philly needs to know who they can trust for the future on the line if guys like Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, and Cam Jurgens get hurt again.
DL - What's going on with Jalen Carter's contract situation?
The Eagles' defensive line is in really solid shape, but the bigger questions surround Jalen Carter and what the deal is with his contract. They need to get a long-term deal done so he can stay on the team. The question is, if a contract doesn't get done, how much will he be involved in drills at camp?
EDGE - Who will be the second starter besides Jonathan Greenard?
It's a lock that Jonathan Greenard starts on one side, but who will win the battle between Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith Jr.? The Eagles picked up Smith's fifth-year option in the offseason, but he got arrested as well. Hunt led the Eagles in sacks and interceptions last season, leaving this position battle to be decided in the next month.
LB - Is Jihaad Campbell ready to be a starter in 2026?
Zack Baun is the man, but Campbell is taking over full-time for Nakobe Dean as the other starting inside linebacker. Campbell filled in last year for Dean and played well. Can the second-year man continue his success?
CB - Can Riq Woolen bring his momentum from OTAs to training camp?
No Eagles player created more buzz at OTAs than Riq Woolen, as he locked himself in as the starting CB2. The problem is that last year with the Seattle Seahawks, he struggled with inconsistency, so can he move past that and be the reliable corner the Eagles need?
S - Who will start besides Andrew Mukuba?
The only safety who is a lock for the roster is Andrew Mukuba, but it is a toss-up who the other starter will be. Marcus Epps is the favorite, but several others are battling for a job, so it's anyone's guess who will start. The real question might be whether Eagles general manager Howie Roseman brings in any outside competition.

Special Teams - How is Jake Elliott looking entering the new season?
There might be some questions about the return game, but Jake Elliott is the bigger concern here. He has struggled to hit over 80% of his field goals in a season in the last two years. The Eagles need Elliott to step up and play well in 2026.
