It’s a fun time to be a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Since their early bye week in 2024, all head coach Nick Sirianni’s team has done is win. It started with a 10-game winning streak last year that spanned from October to December, culminated with a postseason run for the ages, and has now continued into 2025 with three gritty wins to open the season.
Sunday’s wild second-half rally to stun the Los Angeles Rams was just the latest example. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ dormant passing game came to life down 17 points in the third quarter. Hurts led a pair of quick scoring drives, Philly’s defense clamped down, and the special teams helped save the day with a pair of blocked field goals — including an all-time play by defensive tackle Jordan Davis that resulted in a walk-off, 61-yard touchdown return.
It all resulted in another wild post-game scene at The Linc. Even better? The team’s most improbable win during this mesmerizing, 12-month stretch was the one that etched some space in franchise lore.
The Philadelphia Eagles are officially on a historic run
Philly’s Week 3 win was one for the books, in more ways than one. Including the playoffs, the Eagles’ 19-1 record since Week 6 of the 2024 regular season is now the best 20-game stretch in franchise history.

This one will be hard to top, too. It includes Saquon Barkley’s iconic dash through the snow vs. the Rams in the NFC Divisional Round, and the Super Bowl LIX blowout over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Davis’ blocked field goal for a touchdown adds more flair to what's been an epic run — one made even more impressive when you consider Hurts was knocked out early in Philly's lone loss, which was Week 16 at Washington last year.
Philly’s run from 2017-18 also ranks high on the franchise’s all-time list. That team finished the 2017 regular season with 12 wins in 14 games, beat New England in Super Bowl LII, and went 2-1 to start 2018; that equates to a 17-3 record over a 20-game stretch.
The Eagles had another memorable run during the Donovan McNabb era from 2003 to 2004. The Eagles closed the 2003 regular season with 10 wins in 11 games, went 1-1 in the postseason, started the 2004 regular season 13-1, and wound up losing to New England in that year’s Super Bowl.
We're clearly living through a special time in Eagles football history. If you want to argue that the 2024-25 Philadelphia Eagles are the franchise's best ever, the scoreboard will provide some telling evidence in your favor.
