With the NFL getting ready for its 2025-26 playoffs, Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon recently put out a list identifying key stats for the remaining NFL teams that define their 2025-26 seasons, which have been one to remember (or forget) for Eagles fans.
Philadelphia Eagles: 71%
71% is the success rate for the Eagles in the red zone this season, which was easily the best rate in the NFL. Despite all the inconsistencies this season for the Eagles' offense, the team has remained deadly in the red zone, in part due to their ability to take care of the football.
The ability to maximize their points (only three offenses had fewer turnovers) is a big reason why the Eagles remain in the Super Bowl picture despite a somewhat rocky campaign," Gagnon said.
Eagles' offense is elite at scoring in the red zone
Despite Jalen Hurts's five-turnover game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Eagles maximized their scoring opportunities because they were fourth in the NFL in turnover differential. With the ability not to force the ball, and a "secret weapon" (that's not so secret), the Eagles' ability to "punch it in" allowed them to remain competitive in 2025 despite a clear drop-off from a scheme perspective with Kevin Patullo getting promoted as their offensive coordinator.
The Eagles' main recipe for success in the red zone has been the Tush Push. Quarterback Jalen Hurts totaled eight rushing touchdowns this season, many of which came from the Eagles' controversial QB sneak, while also converting 40 first downs. Hurts' 63 rushing touchdowns are third all-time for quarterbacks, sitting behind Cam Newton (75) and Josh Allen (79).

Despite criticism from fans and the media alike, the Eagles have managed to remain an effective NFL offense, earning an 11-6 record and the number three seed heading into a Wild Card matchup vs the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles are set to take on the Niners in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field, in hopes of defending their 2024 Super Bowl championship.
