The Philadelphia Eagles are getting ready to end the Kansas City Chiefs' quest for the first Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history. If there was ever a team capable of knocking off the Patrick Mahomes-led brigade, it's the 2024 Eagles.
It's well-documented at this point that the Chiefs have made the Super Bowl in five of the last six years. There is an aura about Mahomes and Kansas City, who always seem to come through in the "gotta have it" moments in the playoffs.
Between the Chiefs seemingly always getting the benefit of the doubt with officiating, the sheer coverage and saturation of the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance and the fact that they always make the Super Bowl, most of the generic population wants the Eagles to win.
This Chiefs team is not lacking in confidence. Understandably so. However, Mahomes foolishly tempted the football gods with his Super Bowl 59 outfit.

That is a BOLD move from the three-time Super Bowl MVP.
Mahomes usually doesn't give in to the trash-talk aspect of football. While he undoubtedly keeps receipts from the Chiefs' foremost doubters, he is often the first to give praise and dish out credit where its due. That he chose to don an all-green suit to is proof that he fully expects to win.
As one of the greatest quarterbacks ever after just eight years in the league, Mahomes has earned the right to do a little trolling. In doing so, though, he has opened himself up to a world of criticism if the Chiefs don't come out on top.
That is great news for the Eagles.
Whether it was Nick Sirianni, Brandon Graham or another prominent leader, word of Mahomes' outfit has definitely reached Philadelphia's locker room.
This team obviously doesn't need any more motivation, but it is head-scratching of Mahomes to give the Eagles added bulletin-board material hours before kickoff. Wearing an all-green suit is the ultimate sign of disrespect.
An Eagles victory would taste even sweeter now.
