The Philadelphia Eagles are starting to get offers rolling in for star wide receiver A.J. Brown, and one reported offer isn't the best one they would have liked.
NFL insider Mike Garafolo appeared on the Anthony Gargano Show, where the two were discussing the Brown trade talks with the Patriots. An offer has been put in, and New England is willing to do a first and a third-round pick for Brown. Garafolo shared some insights that all Eagles fans figure to be the case right now.
"Howie is holding firm & all eyes are towards New England right now."
Patriots made an offer to the Eagles for A.J. Brown (but it's not great)
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has been very firm on the fact that he wants a first and second-round pick for Brown. The Chicago Bears just traded DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills, and they got a 2026 second-round pick for him. It feels as though what the Eagles are asking for is as fair as it gets.
Moore has never been to the Pro Bowl and just made the playoffs for the first time with the Bears this past season. Brown has been selected to three Pro Bowls and the All-Pro second-team, and has appeared in two Super Bowls, winning one.
Everyone might balk at the deal Roseman wants, but it is a fair one, with the Patriots getting a number-one receiver who is a tremendous leader in the locker room. The Patriots showed how much they want Brown after releasing Stefon Diggs from the team, so they are desperate for a WR1 to join the team in the next week.

Roseman needs to hold on and see if the Patriots can do better since the Eagles will have to eat a $20 million cap hit if Brown is traded before June 1. A lot can change in the next day or two.
