The Philadelphia Eagles did not have the type of 2025 season they hoped for after winning the Super Bowl the previous season, but they still had a lot of good come out of the year.

There were still plenty of good things that came out of the season, like the defense and how well they played in the back half. The Eagles discovered they have some great talent on that side of the ball that could become stars in the next few years.

One of those young guys stepped up in 2025 and made the leap every Eagles fan was expecting him to make, but the NFL was not ready for. This defensive lineman was a dominant force all season and could be the next great Eagles lineman.

Moro Ojomo took a major step in 2025 with the secret finally out

Pro Football Focus writer Zach Tantillo shared each team's top secret superstar on the roster. Tantillo looked at defensive tackle Moro Ojomo for the Eagles.

"Ojomo announced himself on the biggest stage — the Eagles’ Super Bowl win over the Chiefs — and carried that level of play into the 2025 season. He ended the year with a higher PFF overall grade than Jalen Carter’s 71.0 and a higher PFF pass-rush grade than Jordan Davis’ 71.1, both first-round picks.

That production showed up in the box score, as well, as Ojomo recorded 54 pressures, the second most on the Eagles and the sixth most among all interior defenders. He also notched six sacks, the second most on the team."

Ojomo ended up starting nine games with Carter dealing with injuries throughout the season, so Eagles fans saw plenty of him on the field without the defense missing a beat. In 17 games, Ojomo racked up 38 tackles, 21 pressures, 12 quarterback hits, six tackles for loss, six sacks, and one pass deflection.

The Eagles have some big decisions in the offseason, including potentially giving Carter and Davis contract extensions, but that might not be the only defensive linemen who will need one in the next few years. Ojomo is making a strong case for that, as he went from a seventh-round pick to one of the most important pieces on defense.

This has been one of the great stories of the Eagles over the last few years: seeing Ojomo's impact in just three seasons in the NFL. The scary part? He's only going to get better.
