It started out as a relatively quiet offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles, but they made some big moves at the end that justified the patience of general manager Howie Roseman.
Adding some key pieces like Riq Woolen, Jonathan Greenard, and rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon has the Eagles in a good spot, but how should fans feel about the offseason overall? FanSided's Cody Williams gave the Eagles a letter grade of B for the offseason, pointing out the Lemon selection as the best move and, interestingly enough, calling the Arnold Ebiketie signing the worst move.
"The Philadelphia Eagles made a concerted shift in philosophy, or so it seems, this offseason. With Sean Mannion coming in as the new offensive coordinator, it appears they will be asking more from Jalen Hurts. Drafting Makai Lemon, who they nabbed with a beautifully timed trade up in the draft, and likely moving on from A.J. Brown surely means more happening in the middle of the field. On defense, though, I do worry about some of the losses and replacements that were brought in."
Is the Arnold Ebiketie signing really the worst offseason move for the Eagles?
Lemon was an important selection with Brown on his way out the door, as the future is set at wide receiver. Pairing Lemon with DeVonta Smith should make that combination a good one for a long time.
If the Ebiketie move is truly the worst offseason move by the Eagles, then this offseason should be considered a success. Granted, Ebiketie is not a starting-caliber edge rusher, but he's a perfect rotational guy as the Eagles already have Jonathan Greenard, Nolan Smith, and Jalyx Hunt as the top guys.
Eagles fans could argue the worst move of the offseason might be letting Reed Blankenship walk in free agency instead of trying to bring him back, as he will only be getting about $8 million per year with the Houston Texans. Philly is stuck with Marcus Epps, Michael Carter II, or someone else at Blankenship's safety spot, so those replacements don't exactly give Eagles fans the vote of confidence they need at the moment.

Overall, though, this was a strong offseason for the Eagles. They didn't make as many splash moves as they have in the past, but Roseman did enough to make them competitive again in 2026.
