Over the weekend, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown held his annual youth camp in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with media members waiting in vain for a juicy sound bite or two.
While the embattled star wideout didn't dare go there, he did show love to the campers in attendance.
"I love you all. I don't care what you hear out there," Brown said viaThe Philadelphia Inquirer's Olivia Reiner. "I love you all. You understand?"
That wouldn't be the end of a very annoying A.J. Brown media coverage
Well, fast forward to Monday, and Brown's fate in Philadelphia seems all but sealed at this point. Speaking on the Pat McAfee show, NFL insider Adam Schefter sounded like a broken record, addressing #11's situation in the same fashion he's recently maintained, one more time for the folks in the back:
“I think he (Brown) knows where his future is headed. It’ll be a matter of the Patriots and the Eagles getting together to basically process the trade," Schefter said. "There’s nothing that has transpired, that has deterred this trade. I still think it is on track. I still think it’s going to happen. I still think it will involve a future 1st, likely a 2028 first-round draft pick. I still think all these elements are in place. And I still think that once we get to June, that these two sides will get together and complete a trade that’ll send AJ Brown to the New England Patriots.”
If the slew of moves at wideout by Eagles general manager Howie Roseman weren't enough to convince the most loyal of Brown fans in Philadelphia that the end was near, Schefter is quite resolute in predicting a deal with New England will be signed, sealed, and delivered once June arrives.

Looking more into those words shared by Brown to all those in attendance at his annual camp, it sounds like the wideout was offering a spirited goodbye of sorts. He's made a ton of big plays and created plenty of unforgettable memories during his time in midnight green, but it sounds all but assured that next month, he's hitting the highway and likely headed to New England.
