This might almost be over.

Over the last year, Philadelphia Eagles fans have had to withstand all the talk about star wide receiver A.J. Brown and whether he would be traded from the team.

This offseason, the intensity has been ramped up following reports that Brown asked to be traded multiple times and his public comments about the offense's struggles during the 2025 season. It feels like it is getting more real that Brown might be traded, but who would actually bring him in?

After the stunning trade of Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills, there is now more clarity on who is in the race for Brown. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane believes it is down to the Baltimore Ravens or the New England Patriots to land Brown in a trade.

Ravens and Patriots are finalist to land A.J. Brown

Both teams are in need of a wide receiver, as they have holes in their roster. Baltimore has DeAndre Hopkins walking in free agency, and the Patriots are releasing Stefon Diggs to create cap space and are expected to be in the running to bring in a top wide receiver.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has made it clear that he needs a first and second-round pick to get a deal done for Brown. There have also been reports that a first- and top-100 pick could work, or a first-round pick and a wide receiver might do the trick.

Regardless, Roseman needs a good deal, and he isn't settling for any deal, as he wants the right one. He needs to get value for Brown since it would be the Eagles taking the loss of a three-time Pro Bowler, and they will take on a $20 million cap hit.

In terms of who is better between the two teams, the Ravens have the more appealing first round pick. The Patriots are more likely to get rid of their first and second round picks since their head coach Mike Vrabel coached Brown when they were together with the Tennessee Titans.

Roseman is in no rush to get rid of Brown, so it all falls on the Ravens and Patriots, and whether they want to pay the price for him.
