Eagles aren't as concerned about pivotal position group as worried fans are

Are you guys sure about that?

While the Philadelphia Eagles were able to address many of their roster concerns, there was one position that didn't get enough attention.

Eagles fans grow concerned about the safety position after the loss of Reed Blankenship in free agency, but Philly only selected Texas Tech's Cole Wisniewski in the seventh round at the position. General manager Howie Roseman addressed the safety concerns but seemed pretty relaxed about the situation.

"You go into this understanding that you're going to come out of it with not everything perfect," Roseman said via The Athletic's Zach Berman, "but (Eagles officials) probably have a different vision of our safety room than maybe it is publicly. But that'll all sort itself out. We don't play our first game until September."

Eagles aren't even concerned about the safety position after the draft

The good news is that they will have 2025 second-round pick Andrew Mukuba back after breaking his ankle in the Week 12 loss to the Dallas Cowboys last year. Mukuba showed flashes of playmaking but had inconsistencies in coverage.

Even with Mukuba there, the concern is the other starting safety position, with Marcus Epps and Michael Carter II battling it out for the starting job. Epps will most likely have the edge since he replaced Mukuba late last year when he got hurt, but Roseman seems to be keen on Carter playing safety.

Wisniewski is most likely a depth player despite many in the media comparing him to Blankenship. J.T. Gray is also there and will battle with Wisniewski for a spot on the 53-man roster in training camp.

It's interesting how Roseman continues to have zero concerns about a position that everyone else is panicking about. There must be something they know that Eagles fans aren't aware of, so maybe everyone might have to wait it out and see what happens.
