It feels as though the Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best rosters in the NFL, but there are still concerns.
The good news is that the best parts of the team outweigh the weaknesses. Bleacher Report writer Kristopher Knox named every NFL team's strength and weakness entering the preseason, with the Eagles' biggest strength being their offensive line.
"The Philadelphia Eagles don't carry many question marks heading into the preseason. There certainly isn't much uncertainty about their starting offensive line—though some early offseason retirement talk involving Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson probably made the Eagles a little nervous.
Johnson is a future Hall of Famer and a Pro Bowl right tackle when fully healthy. He and Jordan Mailata form what might be the league's top tackle tandem. Between them, Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, and Tyler Steen are all quality starters. Philly has some solid depth pieces, too, in Fred Johnson and rookie third-rounder Markel Bell."
Eagles' biggest strength still has questions neeidng to be answered
Yes, the offensive line is still a top-five unit. Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata are the best tackle duo in the NFL. Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens are both Pro Bowl-caliber players.
The number one problem with this franchise's line right now is durability. Johnson, Dickerson, and Jurgens were banged up last season, leading to a big dip in performance.
This offense leans on the line to protect and block well. Those struggles up front resulted in the offensive unit finishing in the bottom 15 in total offense, passing, rushing, and scoring.
Starting right guard Tyler Steen is another concern, as he may not yet be ready to be the starter. Steen had a decent 2025 season and played in every game, but he is not at the level of guys like Mailata, Johnson, Dickerson, and Jurgens.
Another interesting thing to monitor is the backups and whether the Eagles even have the depth needed. Fred Johnson is the only one who is 100% reliable at the moment. Rookies Markel Bell and Micah Morris are guys Eagles fans hope will step up to the plate and be able to help out if injuries occur.

Lane Johnson and Dickerson gave Eagles fans a scare in the offseason when they almost retired, resulting in more panic about whether the offensive line will be in a good spot in the future. While this group is still great, until they can prove they can stay healthy, there will be questions about their future in 2026.
