Last season was quite the grind for Philadelphia Eagles center Cam Jurgens, as he had to deal with injuries that dated back to the 2024 season.
Jurgens played through a back injury all year and never fully recovered last offseason, leading to a down season in 2025 despite still earning a Pro Bowl selection. He talked to the media about having a full offseason to help heal his body.
“It’s so nice to have a full offseason like I do this year.”

Cam Jurgens opened up about what he did in the offseason
The big story of the offseason for Jurgens was that he traveled overseas to undergo stem cell treatment that included ozone therapy, cryotherapy, and traditional physical therapy. He shared what went into that decision and how that helped him.
"I play in the NFL. They pay me money; I’m going to do everything I can to get my body right," Jurgens said via Philly Sports Network's Cory Nidoh. "That’s a great option for us. I talked to a lot of guys in the league about it ... Stem Cell has been going on for a long time now. Won't be first or the last to get it. Lot of good cases …helps me heal, get into a better position. We are paid a lot of money to do our job we have to use the resources as best we can."
There has always been a lot of pressure on Jurgens since joining the NFL, as he was the successor to one of the best centers in NFL history, Jason Kelce. It's worked out pretty well for Jurgens so far, with Pro Bowl selections in 2024 and 2025.
The Eagles need Jurgens to be 100% going into the 2026 season, as there are other concerns about the line at the back of fans' minds. Starting right tackle Lane Johnson and left guard Landon Dickerson almost retired this offseason because they were dealing with their own injuries.

Jurgens got the respect of the Eagles fan base after battling through injuries and still putting up a Pro Bowl-caliber season. The time during the offseason was needed to get him in the right state of mind and to physically get him ready to hopefully have a long career in the midnight green uniforms for the next decade plus.
