The Philadelphia Eagles appear to be having yet another quiet offseason of holding out on spending too much money while locking players into one-year contracts.

Cornerback Riq Woolen has been by far the biggest name with a one-year, $15 million contract. Philly has been looking at several options at edge rusher after losing out on Jaelan Phillips, Maxx Crosby, and Trey Hendrickson.

Minnesota Vikings edge rusher Jonathan Greenard has been the latest name attached to the Eagles as a possible trade option, but what will the Eagles do next at edge rusher? There's actually a big-name player who isn't being mentioned but would be a perfect option for Philly, but probably won't be with the Eagles in 2026.

Eagles could add Joey Bosa, but most likely too hard to get done

Yes, the Eagles have not been linked to Bosa in any offseason rumors, but the team is desperate for an edge rusher, and he's the best available. The five-time Pro Bowler isn't a three-down edge rusher anymore, but Bosa can still affect a game with the best of them as he had 42 pressures, five sacks, and an NFL-high five forced fumbles last year with the Buffalo Bills.

Right now, the Eagles have Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt as their starting edge rushers, with new addition Arnold Ebiketie also on the team. Last season, the Eagles tried to roll with just Smith and Hunt, and while the two closed the season out strong, they did not get the job done in the first half, leading the team to trade for Phillips.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, making any moves at this time seems tough since they are strapped for cash. Sure, Jordan Davis' contract extension and Michael Carter's pay cut helped in creating cap space, but the unknown futures of A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert make it more difficult for the Eagles to make any kind of big moves.

Bosa would make a great addition as a situational edge rusher, but the Eagles don't have the money to spend, so there's a good chance they hold out until the NFL Draft to select an edge rusher or try to get Greenard in a trade and have him take a pay cut.
